I grew up hearing successful sales people described like this - β€œHe could sell ice to eskimos!” or β€œShe could sell a ketchup popsicle to a man in a white suit!” I couldn’t wait to learn the sales skills so I could do the same. But…it didn’t take long for me to realize that kind of selling is down right manipulative. My purpose as a salesperson is to identify opportunities that create mutual value. If the the mutual value isn’t there, we’re probably better as friends than partners.I've sold hiking boots, insurance, car cleaning supplies, rain barrels, a college experience, energy drinks, beer, and wine. I’ve banged out 125 calls a day as an SDR. I’ve helped small, mid-market, and enterprise organizations grow their revenue with data-driven marketing. And now, I’m helping the biggest companies in the world create revenue faster and more efficiently, by enabling teams to learn how to do their job in the flow of work - with any answer at their fingertips.What do I do outside of work?
