Manage multiple ViaSat Linkstar VSAT satellite hubs and ensure the customer's on the hubs have maximum up-time at each of their satellite sites. Troubleshoot hub and site issues. Conduct site trend analysis to ensure the customer can be informed of any site degradation before the site fails.www.mainstreamdata.com

Responsible for systems and network monitoring, reporting and escalation.

I conducted monthly network trend analysis to assist in fault isolation and to help correct problems that are reoccurring. I also troubleshot and directed troubleshooting on the transmission portion of the Army's communication networks throughout Iraq. While involved in transmissions I also had to report to the Facility Control Office responsilble for the Department of Defense's communication networks across South West Asia.

Monitors the backbone infrastructure for the Greater Baghdad Area, tracks outages on the network with a trouble ticketing system and report the outages to higher agencies. Provides higher level troubleshooting when techs are unable to isolate any issue causing network outages.

Operated and maintained multiplexers and line conditioning equipment for the Army backbone infrastructure for Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Monitored the ARMY backbone infrastructure consisting of Alcatel ATM, TDM and SONET nodes using network monitoring programs(ie. Spectrum, HP Openview). Also reported any issues with the network to higher agencies and tracked outages or hazardous conditions with the use of a trouble ticketing system (Remedy). Also responsible for higher level troubleshooting and guidance to the techs on site when they could not resolve the issues.
