I began my career in performance analysis with a focus on youth rugby, an experience that laid the foundation for my eventual progression into the world of football. Here, I had the distinct opportunity to work alongside Frankie Wilson at Bangor FC and further my expertise with the Northern Ireland U18 Schoolboys team. My scope of work didn't stop at football; I expanded into a diverse range of sports, including international engagements with Table Tennis, Judo, and Tennis athletes, as well as substantial work across rugby, football, boxing, athletics, MMA, netball, fencing, field hockey, and golf among others. This breadth of experience allowed me to engage with athletes, clubs, and national governing bodies at elite and amateur levels, tailoring my approach to meet the unique demands of each discipline.In my pursuit of excellence in performance analysis, I became an early adopter of cutting-edge technologies such as kinetic, kinematic, and geospatial devices, including GPS. I didn't just use these tools; I innovated with them, developing new workflows that synchronised performance data with video footage. This not only enhanced the depth of my analyses but also revolutionised how performance insights could be visualised and interpreted.My contributions extend beyond the field and into consultancy, where I've advised individuals, clubs, schools, and colleges on integrating video analysis and GPS technology into their training and educational programs. One of my most significant achievements has been the development and delivery of a Level 3 qualification. I rolled this programme out across the UK, Ireland, and South Africa to backroom staff in elite academies, and individuals aspiring to develop skills in performance and behaviour analysis.
