Working in the Education division within the Reed Group I operated in a complete 360 role supplying a wide range of Lecturers,Tutors and specialist Trainers/Training Managers to the Further Education and Learning & Development markets across the East Midlands, NE and NW of the country. My clients were a mix of government funded Training Providers, Colleges and "Blue Chip" organisations that required excellent customer service and speed of response with high level requirements. Due to an internal restructure Learning & Development was incorporated into our HR division and I was asked to develop the Further Education market.further with a particular focus on the government's new Work Programme.

Working within the IT team my primary focus was to develop a dual desk into the Banking & Finance industry within the Sydney Central Business district. Due to my background I was able to effectively work across both the infrastructure and development markets and enjoyed a very successful desk developing strong relationships with the likes of BNP Paribas, Royal Bank of Canada, JP Morgan and MasterCard.I was particularly successful at filling those hard to fill roles, which was the basis on which I developed many of my working relationships and would go to great lengths to provide an exceptional, personalised recruitment solution to meet the demands and needs of my clients.

Under the Options Employment Group I performed a variety of roles within the education sector. Initially working for Teachers Plus (2002 - 2005) as an Education Recruitment Consultant. Following a very successful first year I achieved over £203,000 GP (39 week trading year), I worked my way up to Manager running a busy, well structured branch staffed with 8 consultants and 3 support staff providing Primary, Secondary and SEN trained teachers into the London market. In amongst my sales duties I was also responsible for interviewing and selecting suitable teachers, not only in the London area but travelled to South Africa, Canada and Australia on various recruitment campaigns with the view of attracting overseas trained teachers to work in the UK. Due to a management buy-out we re-branded to Education Links then finally Click4teachers.com to incorporate the future strategy of the business to have an online education jobs board in conjunction with a traditional agency approach to market.From 2005 - 2007 I was seconded to help develop the jobs board whilst managing the education recruitment team.I helped designed the feasibility of the site and liaised with developers on an ongoing basis and was responsible for budget control. I also contributed to organising marketing campaigns to UK and International schools and UK recruitment agencies via HTMLs, trade press advertising as well as sales calls and visits, I was also charged with selling banner advertising on the site.
