I led the financial M&A efforts for PernixData Inc. related to the acquisition by Nutanix Inc. Main areas of focus included:- Managed financial and accounting integration related to the merger- Main liaison between both company's legal teams pre and post merger- Led system integration between two companies (Netsuite, HRIS, Payroll, Equity)- Wind down of PernixData operations (A/P, A/R, Facilities, International Operations)- Worked with Deloitte audit team on purchase price adjustments and finalized the GAAP financial statements

Areas of focus:- Independently drove all FP&A duties including all strategic planning, financial modeling, management reporting, cash flow projections and executive presentations- Led accounting team: policies and procedures, monthly close, international consolidation, technical accounting guidance and successful completion of two financial audits (Deloitte)- World-Wide sales compensation: partnered with the VP of Sales to set the compensation strategy, execution, payment process and accounting treatment (deferred commissions)- Funding: led financial due diligence related to Series C funding of $35M; negotiated $7M term loan and $5M line of credit with leading financial institution- System Implementations: Netsuite (ERP), Xactly (Compensation) and Namely (HRIS), Certent (Equity)- International operations: led expansion into EMEA and APJ. In particular, set up operations in India allowing company to expand its development team into Bangalore- Managed and optimized the company's legal exposure (insurance, patents, contract review, employee terminations)- Led the company through multiple cost reduction scenarios and effectively managed to strict liquidity targets- Individually led the M&A financial due diligence related to acquisition by Nutanix, Inc.; upon close of merger, drove all financial integration (systems, purchase price accounting and wind down of the business)

Areas of focus:- Led all FP&A related duties including P&L management (Revenue, Gross Margin, OPEX), financial modeling, management reporting, annual planning, cash flow projections, business level support, pricing analysis and board presentations- Managed stealth accounting team (2 employees) that streamlined monthly close process, implemented policies and procedures, offered technical accounting guidance, transitioned to Netsuite and successfully competed company’s first financial audit (E&Y) - Drove financial due diligence related to $100M in Series D and E financing as well as negotiated extremely favorable terms for a term loan and line of credit with Silicon Valley Bank.- Coordinated and managed cap table, equity grants, exercises, re-purchases and 409A valuations; eventually implemented Option Admin as the company’s equity portal- Set up EMEA entity to allow company to expand its overseas operations to fuel top line growth

Areas of focus (pre-acquisition):- Led FP&A team responsible for all strategic planning, forecasting, reporting and internal/external audit support- Responsible for quarterly call scripts, financial guidance (Revenue, Margins, Net Income, Cash Flow, EPS) and preparation of related SEC filings (S1, 10Q, 10K)- Key contributor to the company’s successful secondary public offering which generated proceeds of $78M- Successfully implemented SAP BPC financial module resulting in automation of the company’s internal/external financial reportingAreas of focus (post-acquisition by EMC):- Managed the FP&A team for the Backup and Recovery Services Division of EMC responsible for strategic planning, forecasting, reporting and consolidation (division was 6 product lines; annual revenues ~$3B)- Finance lead in transitioning and integrating all financial reporting tools of Data Domain into EMC. Worked cross-functionally across accounting, IT and product management

Areas of focus:- Worked in numerous capacities throughout the finance organization from corporate FP&A to supporting high growth business units with all financial planning, reporting, KPI's, executive reviews and business model changes- Responsible for dashboard design, tracking and reporting all key performance indicators which became a key component of executive reporting package and drove investment decisions- Partnered with key business unit exec management to model make vs buy investment scenarios and the feasibility within the company's corporate targets and business units operating plan
