Working within the Chief Analytics Office, my mission is to embed AI based solutions into the IBM's strategic management processes to increase bottom line revenue generation. This includes building AI based solutions to help drive the global sales organization and support the enterprise sales strategy.I work with executive stake holders to identify challenges, create AI based solution architectures, and form the tech teams to create, implement, and deploy to production. I work hands on with enterprise large data and cloud based development teams and enjoy seeing the change we make happen.

I joined this awesome consulting firm partnered with SPSS, to provide analytic expertise and help guide strategy. The strategy was to embed 'elite analytic' teams inside fortune 500 clients "as close as possible" to executive stake holders. We focused on identifying hard business challenges, and bringing to bear the best technology from SPSS coupled with the nascent but fast expanding Open Source analytic tool sets (including but not limited to R, Python, Weka).Among other projects, we created an enterprise deployed Voice of the Customer solution using the latest Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for a very large US Retail bank. This solution continuously listened to multiple channels of consumer interactions (telephone auto transcriptions, emails, letters via OCR, ...) and classified on sentiment, content, and product. Weekly reports were auto generated for executives indicating new events, trends and possible problems with products/retail locations/competitor risks. When IBM acquired SPSS, Beyond The Arc became an IBM Partner.

SAP is the world's second largest business software company and the third-largest independent software provider in terms of revenues. SAP purchased Triversity (see below) in 2005 bringing the Triversity development team into the SAP core product development group.• Integrated the Triversity Customer Intelligence and Retail Analytics products into the SAP product portfolio.• Managed large-scale software product development and integration projects with local and distributed team members, working across the globe and up through the corporate hierarchy.• Integrated global SAP development practices and standards into development teams.• Managed a development team of over 20 fulltime and contracting software developers, quality specialists and technical writers through multiple product release cycles.• Shared responsibility for the technical development and release of the SAP Enterprise Retail Solution, a market leading Tier 1 Enterprise application through global deployments

After ISL/SPSS I joined another small start up (Triversity) which was later acquired by SAP.Triversity was an independent software vendor with eventual market leading share of the Tier1 and Tier2 retailer Point Of Interaction (POI) and Retail Analytics business, acquired by SAP in 2005 as a best of breed POI/CRM technology company. • Implemented advanced data analysis within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools of the company’s product portfolio.• Supported sales teams through pre/post-sales, providing technical expertise for RFP’s and RFI’s.• Recruited and managed strong software development teams. Architected and built production applications using in-house and externally sourced business intelligence components. • Released suite of Retail Intelligence products enabling retailers to create fact-based profiles of customers throughout the customer life cycle.• Responsible for the development, quality and release schedule of products from product definitions (requirements, specifications, use cases) through multiple release cycles.

I joined the startup ISL (later acquired by SPSS, in turn acquired by IBM) as a software developer. • Original software developer on the award winning Clementine Knowledge Discovery Workbench team, later known as IBM SPSS Modeler• Moved into early forms of data science consulting. When the company expanded in America, I helped build the USA office providing the technical expertise to recruit and lead the consulting group.• Project lead for data science engagements with clients across the globe in industries including healthcare, finance, pharmaceutical and manufacturing• Developed and deployed data science enabled solutions, from proof of concept to production (Telco fraud, ISP customer profiling, Insurance Risk Analysis, etc)• Conducted seminars, courses, presentations at international industry conferences and workshops.• Developed rule induction and association detection learning algorithms within the Clementine Workbench based on my PhD research work
