Mr. Márquez brings a fresh perspective to family law with an extensive background in the corporate world where he provided operational, technical, management and legal support to several corporations. He is an analytical, organized and compassionate attorney who is devoted to efficiency, diversity, family values and most of all meticulous preparation for all stages of his cases. He is a careful and appropriately empathetic listener with outstanding interpersonal skills. With tactful persistence, Mr. Márquez has consistently negotiated and reached agreements that have improved his clients’ situations. Nonetheless, he is a confident and successful litigator when the circumstances call for it.Mr. Márquez received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where he served as the Chairman of the Honor Board and was on the board of the Latino Law Student Association. At DU, Mr. Márquez received the Outstanding Student Attorney Award and the prestigious Student Leadership Award.Prior to his legal education, Mr. Márquez received a bachelor’s degree from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA where he double-majored in Economics & Business and Physics. After that, he received an MBA from the University of Colorado at Denver. As a result of his background and experience, Mr. Márquez is perfectly suited to work with high conflict matters including complex financial issues, domestic violence, substance abuse and other challenging issues.Mr. Márquez is an active member of the Colorado Bar Association, Denver Bar Association, Colorado Hispanic Bar Association and the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar. He also serves on the board of the Colorado Criminal Defense Institute and has volunteered for Metro Volunteer Lawyers and as a guardian ad litem for the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center. Through these affiliations, Mr. Márquez hopes to remain at the forefront of his field to successfully help clients through the complicated legal system.
