Throughout my life I have been captivated by the potential benefits of convenient access to external compute and communication resources. After serving as an officer in the Air Force, I began my career as an entrepreneur during the very early days of mobile computing. Today I believe Augmented Reality Smartglasses (and to a lesser extent, Virtual Reality) represents the next great wave of human-oriented computing. When the computer is made hands free, the display is always visible, and sensors and software help to interpret the world around us, it will dramatically affect the experiences you and I have with each other and the world.My contribution includes investing in, coaching, challenging, and co-creating with entrepreneurs to improve their products, their company cultures, themselves, and the future. These activities take place through my involvement as an executive at a microdisplay technology company, an early-stage investor, an advisor, and as the host of a long-form interview podcast.I value learning, being helpful, imagining and shaping the future, engaging with thoughtful and value-aligned people, and spending lots of time with my family.
