This position is commonly referred to as the "face" of Austin Peay State University as it deals heavily with prospective students and provides the first point of contact with those individuals. Responsibilities include: campus tours for prospective students, public speaking at campus events, proctoring for tests, school visits & presentations, essential office task completion, phone campaigns, campus information sessions, and many other roles that facilitate the campus image.

This opportunity has included stepping into roles such as; coordinating and leading presentation teams through tools such as Prezi or Powerpoint, social media development and maintenance, graphics design of all forms of media from t-shirts to brochures and logo architecture, web design, promotional methods through traditional mail & phone campaigns, and general Microsoft Office applications in an office environment.

-Oversight of 120+ Student Organizations-Cabinet of Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary-Ensures Organization Forms Such as Anti-Hazing, Constitutions, & Member Information Are Up to Date -Financial Funding & Budgeting for Organizations-Peay Link Website Editor and Administrator

-Currently, I am planning the 2014 fall orientation/convocation weekend at Austin Peay State University called APEX.-Helped design, brand, and plan Summer Welcome orientation events including R.O.W. and APEX, in conjunction with the Austin Peay Student Transitions office utilizing the latest in developments technology such as social media, Eventbrite, email services, and physical flier promotion to gather attendance.-Musical festival in Clarksville,TN in coordination with local business, bands, hip-hop artists, dj's, and city regulations to plan event that took place on August 16th-18th, 2013.-Booked, planned, & coordinated over 50+ events as a musician songwriter in the greater Clarksville and Nashville area.

This positions includes the all encompassing nature of communications within the public relations role. From creating official Homecoming 2014 promotional materials through graphic design and video, to branding, social media, and a working closely with a large group of students in a diverse climate, holding the public relations title is so much more than just a job and is an experience that extends to creating connections within the university, its staff, and students in a collaborative team environment.

This opportunity included working with the public from an on the ground perspective as well as an aggressive social media campaign and online driven standpoint. The tasks and responsibilities included: developing a social media campaign and website integration, graphic design through Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flexisign with editing capabilities in real-time alongside customers, basic office suites such as Excel financial spreadsheets, and Word. In addition to these items listed above, general managerial duties were; creating weekly schedules for employees, training, hiring, developing employee incentives, ordering merchandise, creating advertising, and marketing among many others.

I managed the Electronics/Music Movies & Books department. Duties at this job included; supervision, customer service, technology training, planograms, zoning, inventory research, back room certification, machinery certification, risk management training, time management, and many others to create a diverse blend in the retail industry.
