Campaign architect who helps advocates build real power and win by combining the creativity of social movements with the expertise of NGO's in coordinated advocacy networks. Jason was recently Special Advisor, Directed Networks at The Sunrise Project, a global climate campaigning organization and regranter. Prior to Sunrise he was a senior advisor to the tar sands campaign, a regranter that supported one of North America's most prominent climate campaigns. He is co-founder of NetChange, one of the world's first digital agencies focused on social change, which since 1993 has supported hundreds of NGO's with digital transformation, tools, and campaigns. Jason has supported many prominent organizations and campaigns, including: * Co-creating BlackRock's Big Problem, which moved the world's biggest investor forward on climate * Co-creating a global campaign pushing the biggest banks in the UK, Canada, US and Europe to stop funding fossil fuels * Re-launching #StopAdani, the largest climate campaign in Australia for a decade * Co-convening the Tar Sands Campaign, which slowed industry expansion and stopped multiple pipelines * Supporting institutions such as Human Rights Watch, The UN Foundation, Center for American Progress, David Suzuki Foundation, and hundreds of others with digital transformation, organizational change, and new campaignsJason has volunteered for or advised numerous Indigenous-led climate justice initiatives including RAVEN Trust and co-founded a citizen advocacy organization working on affordable housing and climate justice.He is co-author of the popular Networked Change Report which coined the term "directed-network campaigns", was the founder in 2001 of the Web of Change conference, and is a Leadership Fellow at the Broadbent Institute.Jason lives on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples on beautiful Salt Spring Island, BC Canada, with his wife and teenage son.
