Responsibilities of position included designing HVAC DDC control submittals for projects which include designing wiring diagrams and P&ID (picture and identification diagrams) details for HVAC equipment and mechanical systems including custom CHW and HW pump systems, designing scaled panel layouts, assembling bills of materials, writing sequences of operations, creating project communications and power riser diagrams, generating requests for information, researching equipment and 3rd party devices, researching project field conditions, generating material request forms. Other responsibilities include but not limited to assisting project managers, communicating with mechanical and general contractors, technical support for sales, technicians, and installers/electricians, assisting other engineers with problems in collaborative processes, updating AutoCAD blocks and company project library, leading engineering to construction and PM turnover meetings, identifying areas of project slip and suggesting ideas to reduce engineering slip, and continuously generating ideas to help engineering and construction productivity and increasing company value.
