Jason Nethercott, Software & Solutions Architect, is a long time employee with Autodata, joining the company in January 1995 when there were only 11 other employees. He came straight out of a college software developer program and spent over a year as a data analyst working with the custom, DOS-based data systems to enter and assure data accuracy to products and clients. Jason transitioned into the technical support role of internal applications as well as external clients where he spent two years understanding Autodata automotive content business from a client perspective. During this time, Jason designed and developed a new Windows based, multi-tiered core data warehousing system using the best technologies of the day. This same system is still in use today, 16 years and hundreds of users later. Over the last 16 years, Jason has attended dozens of training courses and conferences to stay abreast of the fast moving technology world. He specializes in the back end data tiers of complex systems; domain modeling, database architecture, ETLs, APIs, application components, reporting, data management applications, etc. He has been involved with and led hundreds of internal products and projects as well as dozens of client projects where the projects range in size from very small to hundreds of GBs spanning billions of data points. His roles have included everything from being an SME and consultant to product owner, software architect, solutions analyst, technical lead, developer, technical support and even designing QA tools. His breadth and depth of experience with the technology side of the automotive data industry make him an invaluable asset on any data centric project.
