Establishing and growing Crowdfunder Foundation as Crowdfunder’s philanthropic arm.Our mission is to empower individuals and organisations to create positive impacts by leveraging support from philanthropists, funders, and public bodies.

Crowdfunder is the Uk's largest crowdfunding platform, supporting people to raise the funds from the community around them to turn their idea into reality.I work with a wide range of funding partners to develop matched crowdfunding programmes which help projects meet their targets quicker, and funders maximise the value of the their funds through engaging with more projects.Member of the Enterprise Grants Task Force.

Working closely at a strategic level with the Directors and Chief Executive I identify, pursue and follow up business opportunities to deliver major contracts for clients. Closely linked to this is the requirement to develop and consolidate delivery options, including training and consultancy and which allow the organisation to increase capacity, range of skills, flexibility and cost efficiency to be able to respond to these opportunities, for example, the use of Associates and technology.Key tasks:Lead, project manage and co-ordinate the effective strategic planning, development and delivery of tender responses, and proactive approaches to potential funders.Lead the development and strategic planning of CDF's training and consultancy offer.Review and refresh of CDF's Associate pool, to create a body of sector expertise which CDF can work with, and through, to deliver nationally across the UK.Develop recommendations for software and IT infrastructure requirements.Delivery of training and consultancy to external organisations.

• Overseeing the development and effective delivery of over 10 national government funded programmes. For example: Community First (£80M, 4 years) – £30M small grants of up to £2500 to community groups, and £50M matched endowment raising; Supporting Communities in Neighbourhood Planning (£3M, 2 years) – grants of up to £7,000.• Tender writing and project proposal development; helping secure £100m worth of programmes over 4 years in a tight economic climate.• Developing and maintaining partnerships across national and local public, private, and third sector stakeholders with partnerships of 4 - 50 organisations to ensure delivery is coordinated• Responsibility for budget planning, forecasting, financial monitoring and reporting. Working with annual budgets up to £25M.• Strategic planning both internally, and externally as an advisor to the Business in the Community Business Connectors programme.• Negotiating contract terms and managing conflicts in relation to delivery.• Line managing a disbursed team of up to 12 staff with 3 direct reports (some home workers).• Development and implementation of accurate outcome measurement, reporting and evaluation for trustees, donors, civil servants.• Use of relevant media (e.g. website, face-to-face support, guidance documents, case studies, briefings, presentations) to provide advice, information, training and support.• Organisational policy development and implementation.• Establishing, maintaining and developing effective relationships with stakeholders including 6 funders, over 70 contractors and 100s of funded voluntary and community sector organisations.• Successful implementation and system integration of the GIFTS database within CDF.• Delivery of training courses, to a variety of audiences.• Ensuring programme activity is integrated into wider work at CDF and based on community development principles. • Developing and implementing evaluation and quality assurance frameworks.

- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of national and regional strategies, structures and relevant policy relating to empowerment across England.-Assisting regional partners to develop and implement co-ordinated evaluation and quality assurance of their work. -Advising and guiding regional partners on grant management.

- Supervision and line-management of 3 staff, plus volunteers.- Reporting of finance, monitoring and management information to funders and Trustees.- Fundraising, including preparation of grant applications, project proposals and development of new organisational partnerships.- Active involvement in key borough-wide strategic partnerships including sub groups of the Local Strategic Partnership.- Delivery of a range of training courses, to a variety of audiences.- Lead on joint working to develop governance in the borough through improving resources and networking opportunities for serving Trustees. - Policy development - production and implementation of organisational Safeguarding of Children & Vulnerable Adults and Environmental Policies.

- Production and implementation of organisational fundraising and development plans.- Development of partnerships with voluntary, private and public sector organisations to deliver programmes employment support for long term unemployed and ex-offenders.- Writing project proposals, expressions of interest, grant applications to a range of funders including European Union, Learning and Skills Council (LSC), Big Lottery Fund, Department of Health, Local Authorities, National Offender Management Service.

• Financial monitoring and reporting information to donors and funders.• Supporting and monitoring 8 partner organisations and networks.• Liaising with key strategic agencies - local council, police, health services.• Developing strategic partnerships with local businesses.

• Planning and delivering lessons in a rural secondary school.• Working with community groups and individuals to support project development.• Securing funding and support for various projects including a crèche, building repairs, science laboratory.• Working with local staff to support new volunteers and organise the annual VSO Zimbabwe conference.• Following return to UK I spent a number of years working evenings on the Returned Volunteer Hotline speaking to prospective volunteers about the experience, and supporting them in their applications.
