• ASEAN Cloud Team is responsible for providing regional leadership and expertise to support in-country technical sales in complex cloud opportunities that requires solutions from cross-brand business units within IBM.• Responsibilities include identification, qualification and technical development of cloud opportunities through consultative customer workshops with C-level clients, solution strategy/design and managing client’s technical objections.• Develop and integrate solution leveraging technology from various business units within IBM (Hardware, Software and Services), including IBM SmartCloud Enterprise (Public Cloud Service).• Provides leadership for ASEAN STG Cloud Presales. Develop solution strategy, training/enablement plans, demo and POC support for both internal and business partner presales.

• APJ Presales SWAT team provides regional leadership and expertise to support in-country presales in complex and large infrastructure opportunities. It provides consultative customer workshops and also includes presales training/enablement, developing demo and supporting customer POC.• APJ regional presales lead for Cloud Computing solution. Create and train a community of cloud focus presales in key countries in APJ.• Worked on cloud reference architecture across HP Enterprise Business (EB) units to develop an Infrastructure, Platform, Storage and Software as a service solution to compete in the market.• Collaborate with HP Partners to leverage and integrate third party components into the cloud reference architecture.• Lead a team to develop a Cloud solution demo based on the reference architecture for customer showcase across APJ region.• Secondary function includes supporting Business Critical Servers / ESS Software, Linux and HPC solutions as part of previous role.

• Provided regional expertise and support to in-country presales for Business Critical Servers and ESS Software.• Developed demo for new technology or product introduction, performed benchmark and POC to ensure higher deal win rates. Projects involved in includes Insight Dynamics Virtual Server Environment (ID-VSE) demo, Adaptive Infrastructure Solution Showcase (AISS), HPC Clusters Management Software, Linux Solution Demo Showcase and Grid Computing.• Speak at public seminars to evangelize HP BCS Virtualization Technology.• Enable HP Partner’s technical competency in SEA region. Responsibility includes organizing quarterly PowerUP training program for HP & Partner new hires.• Secondary function includes supporting SEA region for all HPC/Grid and Linux opportunities. Established an engagement model for countries new to HPC business.

• Provided Technical Account Management (TAM) for the Education and Life Sciences Sector.• Technical champion for HPC and Linux in presales team. Other technical expertise includes AlphaServer Linux/Tru64 Unix and SAN Storage solutions.• Designed Server/Storage consolidation and disaster tolerant solutions involving data replication across sites and enterprise backup solution over SAN.• Lead presales for large HPC project requiring Scientific Supercomputer Infrastructure (384 GFlops scalable to 3TFlops of compute and 100TB of high performance SAN storage). Solution design included many new technologies in development and requires collaboration with engineering labs.• Experience in project managing a group of software engineers in implementing a computational Grid setup and performance tuning for an educational institution.• Past experience in Telco industry supporting a major project involving large storage and mission critical billing server consolidation. Project encompasses design of complex SAN storage infrastructure to support high performance I/O access and an enterprise backup solution.• Achieved various awards as presales consultant:-Best Presales 2003, Outstanding Customer Services 2002/2003, Raving Fan Awards.

• Managed a group of multi-vendor, cross-platform engineering computers ranging from Windows Servers, Alpha Servers, SUN Solaris and SGI Irix workstations. Responsibility includes capacity planning, system tuning and optimization, upgrading and routine system administration. • Evaluated, recommend and implemented a SAN solution to support increasing storage requirement. SAN network is connected to multi-platform servers and uses Compaq’s Storageworks Products. • Supported in-house users (R&D engineers) on both hardware and software aspect of engineering computing. Software includes Mentor Graphics, Cadence, Nastran, Fluent, Hspice, Flotherm, Matlab and ProEngineer/Mechanical. • Assisted in evaluation and implementation of in-house developed Secure Proxy for Internet access and X-Windows terminal clients using "old-Pentiums" running on Linux. • Initiated the adoption of open-source Linux operating systems to complement existing commercial Unix.
