A couple years ago I decided to pursue new interests such as ethical hacking and forensics investigation and acquired some new acronyms to add to my name such as C|EH and C|HFI. I followed that up with a BS degree from Western Washington University in Cybersecurity. Shortly after, I accepted a position as a cybersecurity analyst with the Department of the Navy as a civilian employee where I also took on the ISSO role for the code that I work in. Currently, I am working towards a master's degree in cybersecurity from City University in Seattle.For many years prior though, I was an IT infrastructure consultant based on Bainbridge Island, WA. One of my strengths over the years has been in IT infrastructures. I consolidate and virtualize servers (on premises or in the cloud) and decommission unnecessary or outdated equipment while maintaining LOB application functionality. Sometimes you just don't need that server in the closet anymore!I've helped a lot of companies (including many law firms) migrate their employees' LOB applications into the cloud, including email/contacts/calendars into Microsoft 365. I also help set up strategies and best practices for cloud-based items such as storage and Teams.I'm also a founder/owner of OfficeXpats, a coworking space on Bainbridge Island, WA, the first coworking facility in Kitsap County which we started in 2011. OfficeXpats is where you can grab a desk, reserve a meeting room, or connect with other professionals. The journey to OfficeXpats started with a desire to help work-from-home "solopreneurs" with their technology needs! Our business has grown to include individual private offices now and we have plans for expansion.
