I had the privilege of overseeing and managing the successful implementation of the Terminal Operating System CommTrac at Southern Ports Authority’s Port of Esperance and Port of Bunbury operations.Key Responsibilities:- Managed the end-to-end implementation of CommTrac, a world-class Terminal Operating System designed to modernise landside operations at Southern Ports. In my role at Southern Ports, I was actively involved in a program of work that aimed to roll out innovative, future-focused projects across our organisation. These complex technology initiatives included:- A GIS-based digital twin: Southern Ports is upscaling its GIS capabilities, incorporating real-time data feeds through GeoEvents server, and ingesting 3D aerial surveys flown with its fleet of drones. This geospatial landscape will result in a real-time, 3D capable digital twin of the three managed ports that is fully integrated into the ERP, Port Operations, Terminal Operations, and Marine solutions. This 'Virtual Port' initiative is an industry leading program of work.- Organisational business intelligence: Exposing data streams from all enterprise systems including OT, GIS, ERP, Operations, Environmental, and finance.- Software development and implementation initiatives: Managing the development and implementation of various software-based technology deliverables, including Digital Asset Management Plans, SPM Assets (asset condition monitoring solution), and FLOW (OT business intelligence software).- Drone-based aerial surveys and 3D modeling: Rollout of an internal aerial survey division that to facilitate airborne surveys of key assets. This included Machine Learning algorithms to analyse the status of the asset post-storm, and the dynamic assessment of failure modes based on point-cloud analysis.- Part of the management team for the Port Operations, Marine Operations and ERP projects.- Data analysis, machine learning, and artificial intelligence projects.These initiatives required collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.
