Led the support and development of innovative, educational solutions across the Ottawa Area. We do this through a creative design approach that empowers our collaborators to identify and own what is produced and techniques they can use in the future.

Developed, implemented, and championed the futurePREP'd Program within the Ottawa Area of West Michigan. This program includes a myriad of connected supports spanning grades kindergarten through a 13th year for students to explore their interests and talents and connect them to potential careers and post-secondary programs of study.

Developed and implemented the district’s Technology Academy and Magnet Cluster Programs. This included structuring the support and development of principals and teachers across each of the schools, development of community programming that incorporates technology, identification and implementation of extended learning opportunities that involve technology.

Served as professional development project director for the district’s staff and student online communication and collaboration project. Trained and supported teachers, principals and area staff in Cluster 2 to effectively utilize technology to improve student achievement. This included teaching how to utilize data to inform instruction, how and where.

Instructed Data and Chance and Inductive and Deductive Reasoning, three-week summer courses for gifted and talented fifth and sixth graders.Responsibilities included: creating original curriculum for statistics and data analysis and inductive and deductive reasoning and providing support and guidance for new instructional staff.

Supported teachers in integrating technology into their curriculum and students in the effective use of technology.Additional responsibilities included: updating, maintaining and trouble-shooting the school’s technology hardware and software and teaching a ninth and tenth grade math class dealing with the everyday applications of statistics.

Taught mathematics, science, language arts, reading, and social studies in both third and fifth grades.Additional responsibilities included: serving as the school’s science and technology coordinator and serving on a committee focused on aligning the curriculum in elementary core subject areas with the Michigan elementary standards.
