Senior member of worldwide content acquisition team of over 50 people at largest premium distributor of audio and video content in the world, with offices in 30+ cities globally and over 20 million tracks in its catalog. Work with CEO and executive team on firm’s core digital music distribution business in highly competitive industry under relentless margin pressure. Create and maintain major distribution relationships with artists and record labels and, whenever possible, identify and acquire catalogs of music to either own or license long-term. Collaborate with various groups to ensure supporting data is correct, agreements are fulfilled, and technological growth is maintained.

Key member of Legal team reporting directly to General Counsel. Worked extensively with all departments on diverse, complex legal issues involving intellectual property, distribution, acquisition, and due diligence, with particular expertise as a document draftsperson. Worked closely with business leads to close deals that balanced profitability vs. risk, including content licensing both in and out, lease negotiation, employment agreements, dispute resolution, and global expansion.

The purpose of the IAR Professional Advisory Committee is to review the curricula, its instructional program materials, learning resources, equipment and facilities, student achievements, and comment on any new, proposed programs (objectives, length and content) as a means to provide IAR with an external review of its programs.
