There, I learned the fundamentals of HR and Payroll and mastered the ins and outs of HRIS. While at NKU getting my MBA, I got the opportunity to manage the financial and human resource operations for Hub+Weber Architects, a firm with a history in the community. While at H+W, I took on budgeting and forecasting, project accounting, and managing the firm’s profitability. After helping the partners through an ownership transition and setting the new owner up for success, I was ready for my next challenge, moving accounting and finance in-house from an outside partner at Snow Commerce. When I started, I was one of 14 employees and the only Finance and Human Resources employee. Within the first two years, I created a data analytics function and expanded the finance team as well as managed hiring for the company. When Covid hit, we had already grown to 30 employees. That is when our business took off. Driven by the demand for ECommerce, the company doubled in 2020 and grew to over 100 employees in 5 countries by 2022. In late 2022/early 2023, I worked with outside law firms, accountants, and private equity investors to help solidify Snow’s acquisition by Printful in May of 2023. Since then, I managed a global team of analysts, engineers, and data scientists in the US and Riga, Latvia tasked with integrating data systems and producing business insights for the entire organization.
