Jason lives in Weymouth, Dorset (UK) with his two sons, swims in the sea to keep fit, was a primary school parent governor and founded social activism organisation #Weyforward CIC in 2013 to try to regenerate his home town. In 2018 he retrofitted his Victorian terraced house to net zero carbon and is now an independent qualified Retrofit Coordinator (Level 5 Diploma - PAS2035).Previously he has worked in English language teaching and learning (ELT) since 1992, founding and running two innovative education businesses in London, UK.  Leicester Square School of English in Soho's Wardour Street became accredited by the British Council in 1994.In 2001 Jason created the innovative social learning and social media English course English Out There (EOT), described by world-famous ESL and linguistics expert Professor Stephen Krashen as “a major contribution to what we know works”. EOT was the first to teach people on the street during every lesson whilst facilitating real practice with members of the public. The summer school hasn't used a single classroom since 2012.He is the managing director of Languages Out There Ltd which runs the English summer school in London every year and provides learning content and consultancy to online educators and institutions. His private teaching work focuses on helping people who share his ethical ecological, economic and social views and who are also working to try to change global systems and practices to protect our planet and all of its people.
