Elected by full DNC membership on February 25, 2017 to serve as Secretary of the Democratic National Committee, one of the national officers.The Secretary is the Party’s record-keeper and primary liaison among DNC members. The Office of the Secretary is responsible for coordinating and directing major party operations among the 453 members of the DNC. Membership includes representatives from the 57 state and territorial parties, Democratic Members of Congress, statewide elected officials, as well as other affiliated groups. The Office also directs the delegate tracking operation, coordinating with state parties and the Democratic presidential campaigns, to certify 5,000+ convention participants for the Democratic National Convention. In this role, served as Secretary of the Democratic National Convention, where we oversaw voting on convention business, as well as led the Convention Roll Call.The Secretary serve as a member of the DNC Rules & Bylaws Committee, which is responsible for drafting the Delegate Selection Rules, Call to Convention, and overseeing the DNC's Charter and Bylaws. The Secretary also serves on the Executive Committee.

Elected by delegates to Wisconsin Democratic Party State Convention in 2004 to serve a four-year term as a representative to the Democratic National Committee. (Wisconsin elects 2 men and 2 women every four years). In 2004, was the youngest person ever elected to serve on the National Committee at the age of 17. Re-elected by State Party delegates in 2008, 2012, and 2016.Served as Chair of DNC Youth Council from 2007-2017 and worked to ensure that young people are involved in leadership positions at all levels of party affairs, focusing on training young people to run for National Convention delegate positions.Author of Wisconsin's 2008, 2012 and 2016 National Convention Delegate Selection Plans and responsible for organizing delegate trainings and managing Caucus operations.Served as Secretary of DNC LGBT Caucus and past Acting Chair of LGBT Caucus.

- Execute strategic priorities for an award-winning Chamber of 650+ members with an annual budget of $400K. - Supervise 5-10 full-time employees, interns, and volunteers while overseeing the Board of Directors and Board Committees.- Manage relationships with Chamber members and solicit sponsorships for programming; facilitated 106 events in 2019.- Advise corporations and governmental bodies on diversity, equity and inclusion best practices.- Direct annual budget development and ensure all legal and compliance requirements are met. - Plan and coordinate annual year-long Business Leadership Academy to build skills of 20 emerging leaders per year.

Founded the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce and served as Executive Director, prior to promotion to President & CEO. Responsible for member outreach and recruitment, media relations, establishing and implementing strategic plan and general organizational management.

- Serve as the primary contact and liaison between NGLCC and 51 affiliate U.S. chambers.- Lead strategic planning sessions with affiliates and advise on best practices in non-profit management.- Build compelling curriculum and programming for affiliate Chamber training sessions.- Represent NGLCC at industry conferences as a panelist, keynote speaker, and breakout session presenter.

As Director of Affiliate Relations, I brought my knowledge and expertise of running a local Chamber to the table to help other organizations meet and exceed their goals. Response for working with more than 50 other affiliate LGBT Chambers across the country to be successful.
