I am an experienced supervisor skilled at working with people in a variety of situations. I have gained valuable hands-on knowledge working in different capacities from residential construction to office management.With a degree in Parks and Recreation and a minor in Human Resource Management, I exited college employed in my major area as Recreation Leader for Logan City. Later, I chose to pursue a path with the State of Utah Department of Public Safety in the Driver License Division. I have progressed and gained roles of increasing responsibility and currently am Supervisor and Hearing Officer for a Driver License Division office in Southern Utah. Experience gained in this role include skills in human resources (such as recruiting, interviewing, hiring and training), team leadership, accounting and customer service. My proud moments are the surprise thank-you's that come in the mail from people I have helped feel at ease in coming to our office to take exams and get their driver license.All this experience has been added upon by my other side gigs. I love sports and recreation and enjoy volunteering as coach for my boys' city league sports teams and have also become a certified High School Official for basketball and baseball. Then, when the opportunity arose to be a Defensive Driving Instructor for the Utah Safety Council, I jumped right in. To top this all off, in my spare time I recently built my own home as an owner-builder. Afterward, I decided to make good use of my painting experience and pursued a license as a General Painting Contractor and have started my own residential painting company.To sum it up, I know how to work--how to work hard. I see things through and know how to manage multi-faceted projects.
