- Analyzed common magnetic stripe card reader hardware for power source, encryption technique, form factor, and host microcontroller choice- Designed LabVIEW tools to record and process electrical signals from Square Card Reader PCB during card swipes and to replicate recorded card swipes on any reader hardware- Conducted tests using LabVIEW tools to evaluate relative performance of Square Card Reader versus prototype and industry standard readers- Prototyped 2-layer PCB for magnetic head mounting and signal routing during performance testing- Collaborated closely with Hardware Team and presented results via Keynote regularly

- Calculated, using MATLAB, the entropy-based information content of awake marmoset neural spike patterns resulting from vocal stimuli with varied signal-to-noise ratio- Designed MATLAB scripts to catalogue experiment databases by stimulus use and the resultant information content- Communicated cataloged data to principle investigator, guiding future research efforts

- Designed and conducted reactions to establish palladium and copper coatings on silver nanocube dimers in order to explore effects on nanocube Raman Scattering.- Investigated the maximization of local surface plasmon resonance at silver nanocube dimer “hot spots” by experimentally minimizing the distance between two adjacent nanocubes.- Interpreted UV-Vis results to determine extent of success with coating process.
