Jason is a litigator and trial attorney, representing individuals, corporations, and public entities in a wide variety of civil matters. Jason’s practice is substantially focused on the defense of civil rights cases, employment discrimination cases, and municipal liability cases. Jason has significant experience managing all aspects of litigation, from initial filings through trial and appeal. Jason has handled dozens of civil rights cases and employment discrimination cases, and he has successfully tried a number of such cases before juries in federal and state courts. He has also argued on behalf of his clients before the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Missouri Court of Appeals.Before entering private practice, Jason was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri. At the Attorney General’s Office, Jason was a member of the Litigation Division in St. Louis, where he defended the State of Missouri, state agencies, and state officials in defense of civil lawsuits, including for employment discrimination (e.g., MHRA, Title VII, and ADA), constitutional rights claims (e.g. Section 1983), wrongful death claims, and other tort actions.While in law school, Jason was a member of the Washington University Journal of Law & Policy and a member of the law school’s Public Service Advisory Board.
