Responsible for technical and supply chain readiness for new innovation launch for Pantene. My team is responsible for producing shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for the US and Canada markets. Our brands include Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Olay, Gillette, Old Spice, Aussie, Fekkai, Ivory, and Vidal Sassoon. Key responsibilities- Delivering PDQCSM targets for an operation that produces almost 90 million cases annually- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 13 managers/engineers and over 200 operating technicians- Managing an annual budget of over $30MM- Overseeing operating strategy decisions including productivity plans, initiative delivery, and cost savings- Leading manufacturing digitization efforts for the Iowa City site

I was responsible for Integrated Work System (IWS) development and implementation for the P&G Iowa City Plant, the 2nd largest site in the United States and 5th largest P&G site globally out of 140 sites. We source Shampoo, Conditioner, Mouthwash, and Body Wash for North America. Specific responsibilities included coordination of the Site Leadership Team, building capability in the organization across they IWS Pillars which delivery capability to drive out losses in safety, quality, reliability, initiatives, supply chain, organizational design, and training. I also coordinated the site's simplification/digitization efforts and worked with our Global Business Development teams to train external companies on IWS methodologies.

In this role I led the largest operating department in the P&G Iowa City site and one of the largest across P&G North America. We sourced Pantene, Aussie, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, and Vidal Sassoon shampoos and conditioners for the US and Canada markets, producing over 75 million cases annually. My daily responsibilities included hands on coaching, direction setting, and problem solving, resource allocation, strategic planning including operating strategy decisions, cross-functional collaboration, and priority setting/master plan development and execution. In addition, I led the renewal of our site's daily direction setting process and represented the site on the global operating platform team (collaborating with operations managers from other sites around the world to improve reliability and productivity).Key Accomplishments- Responsible for PDQCSM results for 9 automated packing lines producing over 75 million cases annually- Managed 8 engineers/managers and over 150 technician reports- Managed an annual budget of over $26MM- Reduced quality incidents by 25% and unplanned downtime by 30%- Supported delivery of key brand initiatives such as Vidal Sassoon relaunch and Pantene Expert Collection- Oversaw insourcing of Herbal Classic and Aussie 3 Minute Miracle totaling over $3MM in annual savings

In this role I led the operating department that sourced all of the bulk Shampoo and Conditioner production for North America. Our batch production supplied over 75 million cases annually. In addition to managing the Shampoo/Conditioner Making systems I also had responsibility for 3 liquid packing lines, which provided a unique opportunity to understand our intermediate storage supply strategy and improve responsiveness for the packing organization. I also led the redesign of our technician performance review process for our site's 600+ technician employees and renewed the training program for our shift crew leaders, which included quarterly providing quarterly training and coaching on the qualification process.Key Accomplishments- Responsible for PDQCSM results for 9 making systems and 3 liquid packing lines- Reduced annual batch scrap by 50%- Increased packing line reliability by 7%- Managed 5 engineers/managers and 100 technician direct reports- Managed an annual budget of over $18MM- Owned site-wide systems for daily direction setting, technician crew and team leader development, and quarterly performance review process.

This was my first direct line operations management role in which I was responsible for delivery of safety, quality, service, production, cost, and morale targets for 2 complex liquid filling lines. We successfully delivered breakthrough improvement across all key metrics, improving reliability results from among the worst in the plant to the top third by the end of the assignment. My responsibilities included daily coaching and hands on problem solving, personnel development, performance reviews, and some systems development work sitewide including renewal of the site daily direction setting process.Key Accomplishments- PDQCSM responsibility for 2 complex liquid filling lines producing 18 million cases per year- Increased productivity by 20% and reduced annual operating expenses by $800k- Improved process reliability (line efficiency) from 55% to 80%- Managed an organization of 35 technician direct reports- Built organizational capability through equipment ownership, training, and qualification

In this role I led delivery of several capacity improvement and brand initiative projects at the Iowa City Plant, primarily in the Shampoo and Conditioner making systems. My responsibilities included cross-functional team leadership (construction, engineering, operations, process design), overall capital budget management, project schedule management, and startup/qualification activities. While in this role I also worked with site leadership to establish and coordinate a best in class process engineering new hire onboarding program.Key Accomplishments- Managed projects totaling over $3.2MM in capital spending- Delivered $1.5MM in capital avoidance- Supported launch of Pantene Nature Fusions and Color Expressions on compressed timing- Completed qualification for P&G Project Manager certification
