I am a bodyworker and ACE certified personal trainer with additional certifications such as plant-based nutrition (Cornell), the science of well-being (Yale), and natural movement (MovNat). I advocate bodyweight exercises and getting outdoors in defiance of our sedentenarian society. I enjoy trail running, hiking, gymnast rings, swinging 10-25-pound maces from Onnit, kettlebells, martial arts training, and kayaking. These practices are gym-free and preferably paired with nature, which has additional benefits. I’ll use saunas at a gym or a place to hang gymnast rings in the rain occasionally.My bodywork skills have roots in deep tissue massage expanded to a mixed modality with gua sha (lymphatic drainage), cupping, sound healing, advanced reflexology, and Raynor massage.I read books regularly, a great deal of which are on wellness such as: “How Not To Die,” by Dr. Michael Greger; “Move Your DNA: Restore Your Health Through Natural Movement,” by Katy Bowman; “Be More Human,” by barefoot enthusiast Tony Riddle; and Dr. Michael Gershon‘s “The Second Brain: The Scientific Basis of Gut Instinct and a Groundbreaking New Understanding of Nervous Disorders of the Stomach and Intestines,” A list of what I've read is like writing a book in itself.I’ve attended a slew of conferences and workshops. I have done an array of Dr. Greger’s webinars on topics such as How Effective Are Statins and Stents?, Choosing the Safest and Most Effective Sunscreen, Are Potassium Salt Substitutes Safe and Effective?, Health Implications of Plant-Based and Cultivated Meat, nd How Not To Age. another on plant-based meats nutritional value. I was honored to have Dr. Greger respond to one of my questions while attending Plant Stock 2021 and interviewed him for my local radio station.I host workshops such as “Don’t Be Trashy, Get Zero Wasted” and “Health is Freedom: Sickness is Slavery.” Currently I'm training in addiction therapy, and psychedelic sitting/integration through Being True To You.
