For the majority of my career I have worked as a Business Manager for Woolworths, moving across locations to provide leadership across end to end operations within an FMCG movement.My reputation has a leader has provided me the opportunity of working in some of the most competitive locations for this well known industry leader. My appointments have provided me the challenge of meeting increased local competition and re-engaging with customers that have long since realignment their commitment to the brand. My commitment to local brand promotion, aligning community based initiatives with the values and vision of the brand, allows me to increase customer retention whilst driving overall business success.As a people leader I focus on coaching and mentoring to drive the greatest outcome from my team. I understand the different values and goals each of my team members have, and I support them through my own insights as well as traditional management techniques. I believe that retention is key to the success of the team, and I focus on improving the organisational culture to achieve this. Specifically, I focus on training and development. I was appointed to provide training to the management teams across the region on workforce planning initiatives following my own approach to this task. I looked to increase the capabilities of my fellow store managers whilst in this position, whilst challenging traditional perceptions of resource allocation and labour scheduling.Recently I was seconded as the Subject Matter Expert to support the outsourcing of the Woolworths Fleet Services to a 3rd party service provider. A large transition for the business, I was placed within the distribution centre to ensure the transition did not impact business as usual activities. This was a new challenge for me personally, allowing me the ability to enhance my capabilities in end to end operational leadership from distribution through to the customer.
