CurrentReport to the Assistant Vice President, Infrastructure Services and currently responsible for the management of 24 engineers, system integrators and contractors. Responsible for USAA's IT workload automation platform and governance. Also responsible for effective management of third party/vendor engagements and budgets. Drove modernization and implementation of services with public/private cloud technologies for workload automation. Resulted in at least $1M cost avoidance and better alignment to organization’s growth. Identified significant compliance gaps through detailed analysis and interpretation of regulations from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and led a 2-year effort to solve issues within a complex IT infrastructure, achieving successful risk mitigation and satisfying OCC requirements. Facing a 150% year-over-year increase in service requests, coordinated significant changes in strategy from decades-old processes to modern self-service capabilities. Reduced application team delivery from 5-day SLO down to <24hrs, while reducing labor costs by at least $2M.
