After assisting the CEO and board on critical hires and restructuring of the companies main leadership and organizations I began focusing on the business execution of the companies plan. In this role I helped define the commercial targets and plan for both trucks and infrastructure and also led key pieces of it on the front line. I secured the company’s first LOIs for BEV and FCEV as well as helping to build up and structure the market facing organization. Business unit leader for the fuel cell truck and hydrogen fueling bundled lease leading strategy, deployment plan, product plan and go to market plan. Helped to setup the energy, commercial, marketing, product, and customer engagement and demo organizations and plans as the company matured. Helped drive execution of the program and lead several customer programs and key partnerships including fuel cell license with Bosch, autonomous strategy with Plus.ai, and countless customer and distribution deals.

At a critical time in the company’s history, post IPO and after major change of leadership, I was asked by the new CEO to help lead the company’s main product, the fuel cell trucks and accomplish the aggressive timing and execution of the program in NA and EU and the critical milestones for vehicle and infrastructure. Vehicle line executive responsible for product plan, business plan, and program plan for the companies fuel cell trucks. Initiated the Nikola Tre FCEV program for NA and EU and together with the Chief engineer accomplished the initial program milestones and built the team during a critical time in the company’s history after the departure of the founder and chairman of the board. Leader of leaders and advisor to CEO on market strategy and infrastructure strategy.

Joined Nikola to support the executive team in pre IPO phase to finalize the company’s strategy regarding heavy duty trucks and address key elements of technical and product strategy, including what would be done via partnerships, mergers and acquisitions. In this role I supported the CEO, CFO, COO and board. Responsible for the company technology roadmap for powertrain and energy systems. Leader for key company R&D projects, technology mergers and acquisitions in support of product plan. Advisor to CEO, board of directors, and key technical leads.
