Profile bio

About Jason Rusk

I embarked on an extraordinary journey when I joined the Navy at 18, driven by my dream of becoming a pilot. Little did I know that the Navy would steer me towards a Fast Attack Submarine, forever altering the course of my life. My naval career defied convention, a testament to my determination to carve my own path. From operating beneath the frigid Arctic ice cap during the Cold War to witnessing the dismantling of nuclear arsenals and sweating alongside Navy SEALs in the jungles of Thailand, I found both purpose and exhilaration in serving my country.Though my rebellious spirit sometimes clashed with the military mindset, I was fortunate to have unwavering support and mentorship from my leaders. My affinity for technology led me to the forefront of critical events in the information age, where I relished the challenge of working with and around cutting-edge innovations. Alongside my accomplishments, I've always felt a deep empathy for the less fortunate, and while I missed some opportunities to serve, I believe that fate will continue to present me with chances to make a difference.I owe an immeasurable debt to the incredible mentors who shaped my life, and I strive to pay their time and wisdom forward by helping others in need, providing guidance or a much-needed push. I firmly believe that our country stands at a pivotal moment—an opportunity to effect positive change. It begins with us, approaching each day with the goal of personal and collective improvement, nurturing our families, strengthening our social bonds, and enriching our communities. I believe that we must drown out the negativity with a positive drive and refuse to be coerced into pointless arguments. I'm not blindly patriotic, but rather a compassionate observer who acknowledges right from wrong and embraces each moment as an opportunity to move our country forward and not be shackled by the past.I seek to expand my network with individuals who share the unwavering commitment to making a difference. Those who understand that stumbling is inevitable but believe that a strong network can help us rise again and continue the pursuit of greatness. I am here for my network, ready to answer the call when needed. Together, we can achieve remarkable things.
