My role is currently the Lead Engineer with the Solar Team. We are continuing work on new innovative products to provide wireless cost effective monitoring of solar fields to our customers. Today our product line includes wireless string level monitoring, wireless zone level monitoring and an enterprise application for monitoring and troubleshooting Solar Fields. We work with fields of all sizes. Our largest field today is close to 500 acres, but we have many roof installations that are only a few thousand square feet.Products include our Internet of Things (IoT) gateway that connects our wireless mesh network to the Internet or local LAN as desired.High voltage DC line power supply (so our products can be truly wireless), current version is capable of 30W at 24V DC output with up to 1,200V input.A Radio board that controls the system, with dry contact monitoring for surge suppressor monitoring, disconnect switch monitoring or door contact. External back of the glass temperature sensor input. Combiner box temperature measurement. I have been an embedded software design engineer for more than seven years. Currently working as a team lead developing next generation Total Access devices and PBXs using VoIP and SIP. Primarily functioning as system engineer maintaining the overall system paradigm and performing task assignments and design reviews of all new feature development. My duties have required work in voice technology and implementation of OS related functions with POSIX threads and message queuing. The source code for this system is developed in C++ using an object-oriented approach. This position has required the leadership and management of up to fifteen design engineers.

Served as lead technical engineer for a program titled DIPEP (Dynetics Imaging and Peak Extraction Process). DIPEP was developed on and for Unix workstations and Linux PCs. In this project I was responsible for research, development, and implementation. This software package required utilizing skills to develop three-dimensional digital image-processing algorithms for scattering center detection and extraction. The algorithms included in this package are written in C and Perl for distributive and parallel processing.Served as project manager and technical lead of tasks to develop a seeker evaluation tool mentoring three people.Implemented new algorithms for use in the Future Missile Technology Integration Lab for real-time, automatic target recognition (ATR) utilizing digitally processed image data from a passive IR seeker. The primary technique for ATR was sensor fusion and fuzzy logic, which yielded rapid and accurate classification of targets.

I performed duties as an engineer coop student. My main duties included the control system for the auxiliary fire control pumping stating and water tank. This required fully understanding the relay logic and motor control associated with the pump as well as the level control from the tank. I created the first known accurate schematic of the system with all updates.
