I have extensive experience and training in developing and executing communications, vision casting, and working with communities in need, as well as years of experience leading and working alongside nonprofits of varying size and with a diverse range of interests. I have a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management which has given me deeper knowledge and skills in fundraising, marketing, philanthropy, grant writing, and other skills that would be an asset to any position.I was a 2012 Hunger Justice leader with Bread for the World, and continue to attend their annual Lobby Day, giving me opportunity and experience in lobbying within the political realm on behalf of domestic and foreign hunger issues. It was with Bread that I learned my love for advocacy, and how impactful movements can be in local communities and the nation as a whole. I have used those skills to create letter writing campaigns at my local congregation, as well as correspond multiple times with my state and federal legislators.I have experience as an executive leader of staff and volunteers, and have worked yearly with budgets, fundraising, capital campaigns, event management, administration, communication and have been responsible for what amount to two small nonprofit organizations. My role and life experience have made me very comfortable moving across regional and political lines as well as among different cultures, generations and other interest groups.I believe my experience in building and maintaining relationships, working with diverse people, and handling the most confidential and privileged information on a regular basis makes me a great fit for a number of positions. I have been responsible for counseling, marketing and social media, team building, and fostering relationships in multi-racial multi-generational setting.I am fluent in technology, and comfortable across the vast spectrum of modern communication outlets and especially in public speaking. I will relate well with donors and Board members from all walks of life, and be able to work both in teams as well as independently to get the job ahead of me done.
