Employee #1 and brand builder for a Monocle Travel Top 50 brand, RYSE Hotel in Seoul. Led the brand strategy, naming, design of the visual identity, oversaw the art direction of award winning interior design agencies, and launched a successful, on-brand marketing campaign. Also responsible for the cultural direction of the hotel through art curation, brand partnerships, events with global and Seoul-based artists, and hotel content creation. Co-founder of an independently published art magazine with a not-so-serious perspective on cultural phenomenona. Bite Me featured Rick Owens, Michele Lamy, Misha Hollenbach, Peter Sutherland, Susanne Deeken, and dozens more creative visionaries. The magazine uses illustration, photography and writing to explore our fascinations and myriad perceptions of bodies in contemporary society. I helped to develop the Strategy services at the agency and consulted internally with all design teams to advise on consumer insights, brand definition and design strategy. Key clients that I worked with directly included Marriott Hotels, Harilela Hotels, Iconix China, Clockenflap Music and Arts Festival and GT Land. I created strategy plans for clients that included following up on the initial strategy by directing teams in designing visual and spatial solutions that enhanced and complemented the brand strategy.

As a senior designer, I was responsible for interpreting client briefs to bring spaces to life and communicate brand messages to visitors. Key clients included Moët Hennessy, Swire Properties, P&G, Melco Crown. I led design teams to create environments that surprised, inspired and informed. Additional responsibilities included overseeing construction documentation and coordinating with contractors to ensure final delivery of the design vision.

I worked in the Store Design department for Urban Outfitters until my move to Hong Kong. The job responsibilities included preparing design development drawings and coordinating with architecture firms as well as construction managers to construct stores in the US and EU. The design work extended from early concept presentations to working out details and selecting materials.

While at ODG, I was a lead designer for retail design projects. I worked on local, national, and international brands. My responsibilities ranged from complete construction documents for individual stores to conceptual branding for multi store rollouts. My role included travelling to oversee projects in London for Umbro, Portland for Nike, Ohio for Nestlé, and Austin for Levi's. In addition to project duties, I was promoted to studio manager and was responsible for scheduling, budgets and staffing.

While at CMA, I worked on document sets and coordination for institutional projects and was involved in projects from schematic design through contract administration. I was also given the opportunity to work on small-scale residential projects, which gave me experience with code reviews, historic board reviews, and engineering coordination.
