Acquired StarCite as part of the launch of the Business Solutions division.Post acquisition my responsibilities expanded to the successful integration of StarCite’s assets into the newly formed Business Solutions Group as well as produce a roadmap for integration of the other assets within that portfolio.

Serving as a member of the Core Technology Group for the Clarity product architecture (formally Niku). The Clarity Platform Architecture provides comprehensive functionality in personalization, adaptive object models, business process management and security. My focus was on the Business Process Engine, Eventing, and contributing to forward looking vision.

Collaborating with administration and faculty to develop custom software systems (developed in Java and Ruby on Rails). Manage and grew a network of computers and servers running critical business applications. Implement though technology educational policies from student scheduling to transcript reporting. Aided in project management of the relocation and development of the new school site, working with architects and various contractors such as electrical, data, telephone, IT, audio/video contractors and general.

Architect and implementer role in an enterprise federated query system as well a service oriented architecture framework for a data mediation system. Trade studies on various software products in the enterprise data mediation and workflow management area. In another role, I implemented advanced video exploitation algorithms as well as built a Windows application for real-time video exploitation.

Responsible for the server side platform supporting test and repair applications. Solution delivered as an on premise supporting both rich clients and web based front ends. Besides the flexibility of the use-case driven business objects, the server must support security, session, administration, and maintenance.Architected a Java based code generation platform from XML DTD into custom parsers, business objects, and persistence (ORM). Built a SOAP based access layer for the Rich Java Client Application.Participated on IPC standards discussions for board-test (IPC2547) and machine messaging (IPC2501)

Responsibility for the development a survey design, analysis, and response system on Windows platform. Worked through many parts of the software development cycle, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Work was done leveraging C++, COM, MFC, and XML.

Worked on IRIX, SGI’s operating system. Contributed to Miser, a resource manager. I worked on both the kernel’s scheduler, and a user level daemon to support Miser’s user interaction. Work was done in C++ and STL to add features for the batch scheduling on the ccNUMA system architecture.

Responsible for the IDEMA member web site. Served as a network administrator. Purchased and evaluated network equipment, computers and software. Website and database development was done in PERL.

Responsibility for the design, development, and maintenance the company Web site to increase product visibility. Developed a wide range of web based online conference registration and payment systems in PERL. Completed Smalltalk training. Evaluation and purchasing of software. Setup of computers and networks for trade show; manned the trade show booth.
