Purchasing Specialist
Current•Drive cost savings and program efficiencies through contract negotiations and program management. •Drive the supplier and part selection process by initiating requests for quotation and /or contract proposal and analyze pricing from potential suppliers.•Work with Engineering, Operation, Finance, Aftermarket and other internal organizations to ensure specifications and Statement of Works are sufficient for required goods and/or services. •Deploy material strategy, including drafting/managing purchase agreements to develop strategic and key suppliers for both goods and services.•Perform on-time delivery analysis to monitor supplier’s quality and reliability in supporting required delivery schedules.•Review supplier contract and program proposals and participate/lead in the proposal and negotiation process. •Utilize process tools such as SAP, SAP Sourcing and MRP.•Identify opportunities and strategies to reduce risk and cost while adding value and opportunity.
