Responsibilities include:• Perform pro-active monitoring of Mercy’s network, server, and application infrastructure. • Quickly identify infrastructure service degradations and failures using monitoring tools, management systems, and vendor specific utilities.• Actively troubleshoot high priority multi-user impact events escalating as business needs dictate.• Facilitate communications with end users and technical teams in support of both routine and reactionary monitoring events.• Maintain tickets, logs, and records in accordance with ITIL best practices via Mercy SOPs.• Initiate and coordinate outage conference bridges as part of the outage management process. • Support team members in dealing with large scale network events.

Responsibilities included:• Insuring adequate tapes are available to perform nightly, weekly and monthly server backups. • Insuring the correct backup tapes are sent offsite daily to the offsite tape storage vendor.• Insuring accurate inventory of tapes are returned from the offsite tape storage vendor.• Coordinate daily tape exchanges with offsite storage vendor.• Coordinate return of tapes for emergency server restores.• Performing quarterly audits at offsite storage facility.• Performing daily and monthly audits of temporary access badges and logs

Responsibilities included:• Monitoring Windows, Linux and VMware servers in a large global data center environment.• Performing restores, monitoring and restarting backups using Netbackup and Backup Exec.• Monitor SAP, AutoSys, applications, databases and jobs.• Setting up printers at the UNIX level.

Responsibilities included:• Mounting tapes and running backups.• Monitoring applications with Backup Exec, HP-SIM, AUTOSYS and WhatsUp Gold.• Printing checks and daily reports.• The completion of required daily logs.

Creve Coeur Data Center

Responsibilities included:• Installing servers.• Running mid-range backups (AS400s and HP3000s)• The daily printing of checks and printed reports.• The daily rotation of tapes that are moved to offsite facilities.
