Marsden Holding owns and operates various companies from coast-to-coast specializing in janitorial operations, security operations, HVAC/facility management and franchise operations. Marsden Services, among other things, provides shared services support to the Marsden Holding consolidated group of companies. In my role, I lead all Accounting department functions, including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, process improvement and external financial reporting, and direct the accounting operations of the company, including maintenance of accounting records and internal controls, preparation of external financial statements and oversight of financial audits.

Led the Eagan, MN office location following the merger with Food Management Partners. Directed all Eagan-based Finance department functions and indirectly supervised other business units in the Eagan location. Facilitated the integration of business processes and accounting/payroll systems between the Eagan and San Antonio, TX offices.

Led the following finance department functions: Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Risk Management and Payroll with a combined staff of 60 employees in October 2013. Assisted executive management on strategic road map addressing issues including opportunities to improve future sales and cost trends, capitalization needs and liquidity management. Rationalized legal entity structure through subsidiary dissolutions and LLC conversions and reduced headcount through process efficiencies and outsourcing.

The nation’s largest steak-buffet restaurant chain by number of units (up to 668 company-owned and 18 franchised locations and 42,000 employees in 42 states) and the second largest restaurant company in the family dining segment by sales volume ($1.6 billion in sales in 2008) operating under the names under the names of Old Country Buffet,Country Buffet, HomeTown Buffet, Granny’s Buffet, Tahoe Joe’s Famous Steakhouse and Soup ‘N Salad Unlimited. Responsible for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, oversight of financial audits and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results. Directed all Accounting department functions, including corporate and restaurant accounting, internal and external financial reporting and accounting support/guest relations call centers. Following the 2006 Ryan's merger, oversaw the integration of accounting departments across two corporate office locations with combined headcount of 60 employees, resulting in headcount and operational efficiencies.
