The Synapse project is a high profile, key business initiative to consolidate financial systems across EMEA, Asia Pacific and the Americas onto a single common platform to enable improved financial reporting, analysis and forecasting.Accountable to the Project Manager, I drove completion of the Infrastructure work package through:Creating and maintaining the detailed work plan which was then incorporated into the overall Project PlanReporting status and proactively managing risks and issues in order to meet timelinesStakeholder management with internal business representatives and third party vendorsPresentation to senior operational management proposing the Synapse infrastructure solution design and its integration into the existing environmentExecution and delivery of the Work Package by designing, building & deploying the Oracle Hyperion System 9 infrastructure with handover to the operational support team.

The Finance off-shore project was born out of a strategic business initiative to transfer the bank's back-office financial administrative services to the Phillipines, thereby reducing costs. One of the key enablers was the delivery of the core infrastructure, as other workstreams were dependent on this to commence their activities. As the infrastructure lead I was responsible for:Work Package status, risk & issue reporting on a weekly basis and facilitating meetings to provide status updatesManagement of deliverables to tight deadlinesMaintaining a strong client relationship with the businessKey stakeholder in incident, problem and change managementIdentifying root cause of issues through working with virtual client teams under time constraints.

The Infrastructure Recovery project delivered a stable and scalable Windows 2003 Active Directory and Citrix PS4 environment to the business within budget and on time. Working within a small team, I was responsible for all aspects of the full project life cycle including:Analysis of business requirements and production of technical designDesigning and deploying a stable solution within a tight timeframeCreating and maintaining all project documentsCreation of technical support documentation to ensure smooth handover to support staff.The final outcome of the above project was that 1600 users across 2 sites in England and Ireland were serviced. The Citrix/AD environment was also designed to be scalable, allowing for the future expansion and incorporation of a number of European countries and up to 10,000 users.

As part of a major technology refresh project I worked on a 6 month phase where I:analysed the business requirements relating to the HA and DR environmentsdesigned and implemented a solution to support 5000 users which met these requirementsdeveloped full system documentation including detailed design, server build guides, work instructions and change control process documents.
