Zeality is a creative platform for 360° videos where brands could link the discovery and unlocking of video experiences to the real world and social media campaigns. I built the initial API and administrative UI for this project. Built on Java (running on Apache Tomcat), MySQL (utilizing Hibernate) and Lucene, as well as various media transcoding pipelines with a mixture of Amazon Web Services and Python. I also worked directly with the mobile team to get the API integrated into iOS and Android viewer apps and the administrative UI into our partner's creative assets workflows.

I worked on the Gmail Ads team building interactive ad formats. Helped interview future googlers, participated in much of Google's amazing culture, learned how to juggle, pick locks and build catapults. I coached Nooglers, and scaled code to levels I could never imagine. I built systems out of Java, JavaScript and C++.

I built a multi-tenant system in Node.js and MongoDB with e-commerce, real-time chat, user tracking and trend analysis. I joined as a partner when the business target was still taking shape. I worked directly to establish the architecture of our systems and then wrote every one of the tens of thousands of lines of code to get this system up and running. I built the schema, the framework, the initial user interfaces, the application server, and always balancing functionality with scalability.

While VP I helped realign the technical strategies of NeoLife toward building fewer and more flexible systems as well as more aggressively developing mobile and social apps.Our core API was written in c# (running on Windows Server 2012) while our user interfaces (our front facing .com site, our Back Office, as well as the CMS) were written on Node.js (running on Ubuntu Linux). We maintained an automated build process around Bash, the occasional Batch File, and GitHub, as well as a test suite built on Mocha (unit tests in JavaScript). Our software continues to be utilized by teams around the world in multiple languages and multiple e-commerce markets including South Africa, Australia, Italy, and Mexico. I created a platform for artists to promote themselves by establishing and maintaining street teams. The system was created on Java (Apache Tomcat) and MySQL and utilized HTML5 Audio and Geo Location in a mobile web application.

Designed and implemented a global web platform that has been translated into 5 languages with e-commerce in multiple countries, and a powerful content management system used by teams around the world to extend the web projects into even more markets. Migrated to Google Apps, implemented Subversion (revision control system) into our development process, and automated our build and deploy processes.

Invented (with a pending patent) and implemented a life insurance risk assessment engine that has been adopted by 13 insurance carriers, and over 200 brokerage general agencies. Built the company and team and after years of growth, sold to iPipeline, a market leader in life insurance software solutions.

Worked alongside amazing engineers in PHP and JavaScript that was seen by millions of users. While I only worked for them for an 8-week contract (GNLD hired me away before I could start as a full-time engineer), I was able to write code in production releases. It was a thrilling opportunity and one I feel fortunate to have been offered.

I created software that connected tens of thousands of students with their campuses and counselors. Coordinated development, customer management and marketing, while programming all of the source code and administering all of the servers.

Designed multimedia experiences for medical clients. Worked with Director, Flash, HTML and Visual Basic.

Developed server side applications for a high performance web site (peaked at 600,000 members) Also developed a Java Applet that allowed for peer to peer messaging between MyEvents.com members (this Applet predated ICQ and AOL's web based instant messengers) and ran on Windows, Mac OS9 and Linux in Netscape Navigator and IE.
