As a speaker and author, my efforts are aimed at building a media literate and historically literate citizenry. I founded the History Communication Institute as a civil society organization that unites academia, government, tech and media in the mission to build a better tech future by leveraging our knowledge of the past.My bestselling book "History, Disrupted" has sparked global conversations about technology's role in shaping what we know about history and politics. My newsletter is read in 49 states and 103 countries by policymakers, diplomats, government officials, tech executives, foundation grant-makers, and civil society leaders, as well as everyday citizens. Working with stakeholders around the world, we have created the field of history communication and empowered communities and individuals to see the influence of the the past on our present and future.
