Assigned as an M1A1 Tank Commander, serving five months of that time as the Platoon Sergeant for an Armor company assigned to 1-30 Infantry in the state of Georgia. Principle duties included training and professional guidance for six Soldiers. Additional responsibilities consisted of acting as the primary hazardous materials shipping subject matter expert. Ensured containers used for shipping hazardous materials was properly packed, inventories, and labels for both training events and combat deployments. Was also the Equal Opportunity Leader for an Armor company consisting of 54 persons. Acted as the chief adviser to the Commander for any and all policies pertaining to Equal treatment of all Soldiers assigned for a period of 2 years.

Served as the Army's ambassador within the communities of Trumbull, Monroe, Fairfield, Westport, and Southport Connecticut. Recruited, determined applicant enlistment eligibility, counseled applicants on enlistment programs and options, prepared enlistment applications, and processed qualified applicants to enlist in the Army. accounted for and prepared Future Soldiers for initial entry training; implemented and conducted Army awareness programs throughout an area covering 114 square miles with a population of 140,700; maintained a network of influencers to include parents, educators, and community officials in 5 high schools and 1 college; responsible for $35,000 worth of Government equipment.

Assigned to a combined arms unit as a M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tank gunner and commander. Duties as gunner consisted of maintaining and utilizing the fire control components of the M1A2 Main Battle Tank. As tank commander additional responsibilities consisted of training and mentoring three U.S. Army Soldiers on all facets of the M1A2 to include tactical employment and operation of fire control systems, operation of communication systems and vehicle chassis, hull and engine operator level maintenance.

Assigned to an M1A1 Tank Company stationed at Camp Casey, Korea for two years. Duties consisted of maintaining and utilizing the fire control components of the M1A1 Main Battle Tank. I was then assigned to be the vehicle driver and personal security detail for the Commander of 2nd Brigade 2nd Infantry Division and then moved to perform the same duties for the Assistant Division Commander for Support for 2nd Infantry Division. Responsibilities included maintaining a multitude of both military and civilian vehicles, movement of assigned high ranking officials into remote training areas as well as severely contested city conditions, while maintaining a high tensed security posture.
