Jason Stoots, owner and founder of E2 Solar, has been involved in the construction industry for most of his life and a solar installer since 2004. Both Jason's father and grandfather were builders and successful contractors. Growing up on the job and working for the family business provided a strong foundation and propelled Jason to a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Southern Illinois at Carbondale.Recognizing an imminent need to incorporate sustainable building practices and renewable energy technology into the building industry, he partnered with leaders in the region in the areas of renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency and building science technologies. Through these partnerships he has built energy efficient homes, installed well over a hundred photovoltaic systems, thirty solar thermal systems and four wind energy systems throughout our region and beyond. Jason has also become the first of just a few NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) Certified photovoltaic installers on Cape Cod. Jason has taught numerous field and classroom seminars on photovoltaics in partnership with the Cape Cod Economic Development Council, Cape Cod Community College and Cape and Islands Self-Reliance.
