Our philosophy is to look at each situation and consider how best to reduce or eliminate risk and provide practical solutions that fit within a reasonable budget. With over 20 years experience in both an operational and training role, we provide the full package of training courses as well as consultation and on-going support. Benfield training courses include Statutory Fire Training, Fire Warden Training, Intermediate Fire Training and Fire Extinguisher Training.We are also able to facilitate with full fire risk assessments, the installation of fire detection systems and extinguishers, plus installation of Access Control and CCTV arrangements. Furthermore, we understand that not all training can be carried out during the day and so provide full flexibility. If you have a 24/7 operation, we’ll accommodate for shift workers providing training during the night at no additional cost. My role saw me responsible for fire safety compliance and liaising with the Fire Authority enforcement officer. I reported, monitored and investigated all fire related incidences. It also provides flying instruction courses. As the station manager, my first remit was for the safety of all passengers coming into the airport. My role saw me responsible for fire safety compliance and liaising with the Fire Authority enforcement officer. I reported, monitored and investigated all fire related incidences. I attended the monthly Airport Fire Working Group providing input into new projects, reporting investigated fire calls and remedial actions taken. During my time there, we introduced two new fire appliances. As part of the team rolling out the project worth £1.5m I was responsible for configuration, layout and implementation of fire fighting equipment, including designing and delivering training for staff. We also undertook a major off airport simulation exercise to test ALL emergency service and response units for Rescue and Fire Fighting services. We recreated an airport in the Cotswolds, transporting major equipment by road and putting into place via a crane. We hired actors and attendees from several organisations to make it as realistic as possible. I was responsible for manning the Incident Commander domestic vehicle that attended all building fires, car fires, floods and medical calls. As the Watch Manager I also acted in the Station Manager position proactively interacting with members of the senior management responsible for the daily smooth running of Heathrow. I managed the overall commitment for fire safety at the airport, thinking strategically towards the welfare and provisions of the operational crews to ensure their Health and Safety was not compromised during incidents.
