I started in the newly created role of Senior Contract Manager in May 2021. In this role, I'm responsible for managing the Bank's high spend/high risk banking services contracts including cash transport and logistics, custody services and card payment systems. In addition to a renewed focus on procurement as a service, this role has a strong focus on compliance with CPS231 and CPS234, risk management and supplier management.

As Program Manager, Future Network, I am responsible for managing, tracking and reporting on several workstreams which form part of Bendigo Bank's ambitious branch transformation program. This role is split into several key strands, including program management, risk management, policy development and the establishment of a program management office (PMO) to track transformation activity across the Bank's national branch network. The role also has a strong governance focus as secretary to the Future Network governance committees.

As part of a small team located across SA and Victoria, I was responsible for the development and execution of long-term category strategies for the Group together with management of end to end procurement functions (i.e. specification development, tender calls, evaluation and purchase recommendations). I also managed the contracts falling under these categories, including several material outsource contracts as defined by CPS231. Total managed spend: $66 million per annum.

As Principal Category Manager, I was responsible for managing tender processes for the procurement of goods and services for SA Health as well as category and contract management of high volume, high spend lines. I worked alongside clinical colleagues to ensure the provision of high quality, reliable and effective goods and services to the South Australian public health system.

As a senior manager on the new RAH procurement team, I managed several high value, complex equipment tenders with values up to $100 million including medical imaging (MRI, CT, X-Ray etc). This included managing all aspects of the procurement process from acquisition planning and bid evaluation through to contract development and execution. I led small, expert teams of clinical and business stakeholders and developed strong and effective relationships with key suppliers.

The duties of this role fell into two broad categories. Firstly, I was responsible for providing secretary services to the board of directors and its sub-committees including risk management, audit and clinical governance committees. This included management of calendars and business cycles as well as distribution of papers and minute-taking. Secondly, I was the regional lead for NHS continuing healthcare which involved chairing of the steering committee across Kent, Surrey and Sussex, managing independent review panels, arranging and delivering training for NHS nurse assessors and social services colleagues and representing the patch on the London-based national steering committee. I was also responsible for ensuring that the national framework for NHS continuing healthcare was implemented consistently and accurately across south east England.
