As a Founding Geospatial Engineer, I deployed cutting-edge deep learning AI models at scale, working extensively with complex geospatial raster data. Leveraging state-of-the-art ETL systems and pipelines, I utilized orchestration tools like Prefect and databases such as DuckDB, GCP BigQuery, and Postgres/PostGIS to process and manage large-scale data efficiently. My role also involved developing scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes, Cloud Run, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Hashicorp Terraform, and developing REST APIs using FastAPI to expose functionality required by those systems.In addition to backend and data engineering work, I contributed to building user-facing frontend applications using modern frameworks like Next.js, crafting responsive, intuitive interfaces with Typescript, React, and flexbox. I designed and implemented fully automated systems for data scraping, processing, and updating, ensuring our geospatial data remained accurate and up-to-date across internal platforms.
