Thanks for checking out my profile! I hope after reading this you have a better feel for who I am, what I've done and what gets me up in the morning. Quick answer: I love helping people.I've been in love with computers since 4th grade and have a computer engineering degree from Kansas State University. #Geek 🤓After college I went to work for DST Systems as a consultant implementing workflow automation products in Boston. I did that for 18 months, but got tired of living out of a suitcase. I took a software development position at GeoAccess, a company that created software for the healthcare industry. I did a bunch of C++ and web development programming and after 4 years decided to get into consulting. I took a job with RiverPoint and had engagements at companies all over Kansas City. The consulting experience was perfect for me because it fits how I like to work. Lots to learn, new projects all the time, and constant change.In 2001, I helped start Versent (the Purple Guys). I was responsible for many aspects of the business including operations and sales. It was a wild ride for 8 years.I started Blue Gurus in April of 2009 to help companies tell their stories through corporate blogging, to train their sales teams on how to use LinkedIn effectively, and to create websites that better represent their brand. We've got a huge competitive advantage in that we do all of our work on site with our clients.I enjoy being actively involved in the business community.
