My world soon crumbled when I found out my dad was diagnosed with cancer and became terminally ill. The onset of grief shattered my entire identity, which was made of glass. But, by the grace of God, it ended up being one of the best things that ever happened to me. I felt more alone than I had ever felt in my entire life and was severely depressed. I felt like I had nobody who understood how I felt.It forced me to go within and see what I was made of. I promised myself to journal every day and night-- regardless of how I felt.Through this experience, I realized how important it is to be vulnerable with others and for humans to feel seen and understood in our darkest moments. My mission is to build a world of emotional resilience by narrowing the gap of those grieving alone, transforming grief into a catalyst for growth.
