(Formerly Vitals) Same company, new name! A lot has changed since I started with Vitals as a Scrum Master in 2015. These days at Sapphire digital, I work with executives and coach several teams all over the organization to understand and embody Lean principles and practice Lean techniques like PDCA problem solving. Stated like that, it seems dry and boring...but it's really not! Every day I get to stretch myself to see and avoid waste. I get to collaborate with many people to solve important problems, both in our organization and in the world. I get to tend to and grow a bombastic culture increasingly inclined to continuously improve. To top it off, I get to work with amazing people all the while.What do I do at Sapphire Digital? Playing the Scrum Master role on my team as I balance feature and maintenance development for RightAngle.

I help collect customer requirements, define project scope, construct project time lines, help architect product features, add core features to the product, manage my project tasks, build internal tools to aid customer deployment, and perform R&D.

I performed custom programming for small and medium sized websites and worked with the company's proprietary shopping car.

I am the only developer here currently and have complete control to manage the development of two student accounting programs. These systems are in use at 3 different schools at nearly 15 different campuses.My job includes...everything. I write store procedures, perform data migrations, and anything else SQL Server 2005. I refactor code, write new functionality, and manage the deployment of the software across 5 different servers.I code in VB.Net here for the back-end and use mainly ASP.Net web and user controls to produce the front end. I use SQL Reporting Services to run reports against the database.

I was hired here out of college to work on a web application which evolved to be based on C# on the server, heavy javascript on the client end, CSS for layout, SQL Server 2005 for persistence, and WCF to communicate from client to server.I was laid off in December 2008 due to cutbacks caused by the economic downturn. Being the least senior developer, mine was the most expendable position.

I studied Computer Science and participated in a number of organizations, all the while having a blast with great friends.
