Sometimes there are people you meet in life and you immediately think, "I would love it if 1,000s of more people had the opportunity to learn from them." ...with that, we started building Electives.***I began my career at Towers Perrin as an actuarial intern. A few mergers and a decade of HR consulting later, when I look back, I couldn’t imagine a better place to start my career. I was fortunate to work with a long list of mentors internally and externally. In my last three years in consulting, I led the Health Innovation team for North America - a dream role. We facilitated ideation sprints with HR teams, developed new products internally, and worked with 100s of digital health tech startups every year. While working with health tech entrepreneurs, I was introduced to Buoy Health. As I was starting business school at MIT Sloan, I joined the Buoy commercial team to help improve healthcare navigation for employees. I spent 2+ years at Buoy and loved every minute of it - an amazing, impact-driven team and I learned more working in a growth stage startup than I could have ever imagined.In 2015, I joined NextGen Ventures as a health tech subject matter expert and investor, investing in Limbix Health and Sea Machines Robotics. In 2017, I founded The Players’ Impact, an angel investment group of brilliant people, who all happened to be professional athletes. We have invested in CNote, NRG (eSports), Draft Kings, Triller, SidelineSwap, Mars Reel, CircleUp, Robinhood, Omelas, and more. Lastly, I studied improv from ImprovBoston and on more than one occasion, I made myself laugh more than the audience.
