The main role of this position is overseeing the production and testing of certified hoses made for the Marine and Oil & Gas sectors, product development, on site hose surveys, technical hose consulting, Hose Drawings, Material Data Records, hose registers and data sheet compilation. This position has taken me to numerous offshore and onshore facilities, drill rigs, production rigs and gas plants, traveling to the major the hubs in the North West, and to Germany for product development and training.HDS strive to deliver the best available solutions, ensuring total system design is considered to ensure safe, trouble free performance. The quality of our products gives me great confidence when approaching customer requests and offering hose solutions.Since our first full topside hose replacement in 2013 we have supplied over 75,000m worth of hose as certified assemblies into the local O & G, defence and shipping markets, carried out onsite hose replacements, compiled complete hose registers resulting in over 5000 hose data sheets and a number comprehensive hose registers (registers between 1200-7500 hoses). Some of the tasks performed include:-QA, assembly and test procedure, testing and traceability records-Certified DNV-GL Hose assembly program -Compilation of detailed hose registers-Hose assembly and testing (offshore facilities and workshop based)-Revision of data sheets, recommendations based on hose service and relevant standards-GA Drawings- hose assemblies & accessories-Bring facility hoses in line with required standards-Inspection and test plans, ensure hoses and accessories meet all requirements-Performance reporting (KPI’s)-Streamlining processes and systems-Involved with ongoing NATA, DNV-GL and LLoyd's Register accreditations

My role at Pressure Dynamics was to oversee operations within the hose department. Tasks ranged from general quoting to organising large hose projects, on site hose change outs, documentation, datasheet compilation, hose assembly and certification. With the majority of clients being involved in offshore oil and gas, a focus on quality and safety became essential. The hose coordinator role lead me to travel to a number of offshore production facilities, FPSO’s, drill rigs and gas plants, at times spending considerable time onsite to complete the tasks. Liaising with on-site engineers and technicians was paramount to ensure everything was of standard, and accurately recorded.Some of the tasks performed included:• Compilation of detailed hose registers (onshore and offshore facilities)• Hose change outs and data sheet creation (on offshore facilities and onshore equipment)• Hose assembly and testing (offshore facilities and workshop based)• Gain certification to assemble and test ultra high pressure hoses (Polyflex to 4000bar)• Calculate and assign criticality ratings for hoses • Creating and signing off on data sheets for new hoses, and from surveys or hose registers• Revision and updating old data sheets • Revision of new data sheets and make recommendations based on hose service and relevant standards• GA Drawings- hose assemblies• Follow Australian and relevant international standards• Design and recommend hoses based upon relevant standards and clients own hose assembly guidelines. Ensure hoses meet or exceed these standards, and have hoses signed off by a technical authority where required. • Recommend maintenance and handling procedures. • Create test and assembly procedures, inspection and test plans, and ensure hoses and accessories meet all customer requirements• Compile and maintain quality, testing and traceability records• Compilation of MDRs and dispatch dossiers for large hose projects• Facilitate 3rd party witnessing and approvals

Hose assembly and sales, with focus on offshore service providers, mining service providers and government departments (Water, energy, defense). Working with hose and fitting manufacturers to solve often complex or 'odd ball' hose issues, designing and assembling hose and hose fittings on industrial hose assemblies.Products included; Chemical transfer assemblies, offshore mud transfer hoses, large bore hoses, hand built hose, fuel, air/water, food grade solutions and sanitary hoses.
